About the Angle Converter

Angles can be measured in several different units depending on the field: degrees are used in everyday life and geometry, radians are the standard unit in mathematics and physics, gradians (also called gons) are used in surveying, and arcminutes/arcseconds are used in astronomy and navigation for very precise angles. A full turn is one complete revolution.

Formula: Result = (Value × Factorfrom→deg) ÷ Factorto→deg, where 1 radian = 180/π ≈ 57.29578°, 1 gradian = 0.9°, 1 turn = 360°, 1 arcminute = 1/60° and 1 arcsecond = 1/3600°

For example, a straight angle of 180° equals exactly π radians (≈ 3.14159 rad), while a quarter turn equals 90° or 100 gradians.

Useful for trigonometry homework, CAD and engineering drawings, surveying calculations, and converting between the units used in different programming libraries and scientific instruments.
