Many products list a shelf life rather than a printed expiration date, leaving you to do the math from the manufacture or purchase date. This calculator handles that addition for shelf lives given in days, months or years.
Formula: Expiration Date = Start Date + Shelf Life, with month and year additions clamped to the correct day when the target month is shorter (for example, a 1-month shelf life from January 31 lands on February 28).
The result also compares the expiration date to today, flagging items as Fresh, Expiring Soon (within a week) or Expired. Handy for pantry staples, medications, cosmetics, and any product labeled with a shelf life instead of a fixed date.
