About the Leap Year Calculator
A leap year adds an extra day (February 29) to keep the calendar synced with Earth's orbit around the sun, which takes slightly more than 365 days.
Rule: A year is a leap year if it's divisible by 4, unless it's also divisible by 100 — unless it's also divisible by 400.
For example, 2000 and 2024 are leap years, but 1900 and 2100 are not.
