About the LED vs Incandescent Savings Calculator
LED bulbs use a fraction of the electricity of incandescent bulbs to produce the same brightness, so swapping bulbs adds up to real savings over a year.
Formula: Savings = ((Incandescent Watts − LED Watts) × Bulb Count × Hours per Day ÷ 1000) × Price per kWh
The more bulbs you switch and the longer they're used each day, the bigger the annual savings — bathroom and porch lights left on for hours are often the best candidates.
