About the Well Water Volume Calculator
A drilled well is essentially a narrow cylinder, so the water it holds can be calculated with the standard cylinder volume formula once you know the well's diameter and how deep the water column is.
Formula: Volume (cu ft) = π × Radius² × Water Depth; Gallons = Volume (cu ft) × 7.48052
Useful for estimating available water supply, sizing a pump, or understanding how much water is available before the well runs dry during heavy use.
