About the Current Ratio Calculator
The current ratio is a liquidity ratio that measures whether a company has enough short-term assets to cover its short-term liabilities as they come due within the next year.
Formula: Current Ratio = Current Assets ÷ Current Liabilities
A ratio above 1 generally means a company can cover its near-term obligations; a ratio around 1.5 to 3 is often considered healthy, while a ratio well below 1 can signal liquidity trouble, and an unusually high ratio can suggest idle assets.
