About the Enterprise Value Calculator
Enterprise value (EV) represents the total value of a company as if it were being acquired — it starts from market capitalization, adds debt the acquirer would take on, and subtracts cash the acquirer would immediately receive back.
Formula: Enterprise Value = Market Capitalization + Total Debt − Cash and Cash Equivalents
Because it accounts for capital structure, EV is often considered a more complete measure of a company's worth than market cap alone, and is the numerator in valuation multiples like EV/EBITDA and EV/Sales.
