About the Net Profit Margin Calculator
Net profit margin is the "bottom line" profitability metric — what's left of every revenue dollar after every expense is paid, including cost of goods sold, operating expenses, interest and taxes, not just direct production costs.
Formula: Net Income = Total Revenue − Total Expenses · Net Margin = (Net Income ÷ Total Revenue) × 100
Net margin is typically lower than gross margin since it accounts for every cost of running the business, making it the most complete single measure of overall profitability.
