About the ROI Calculator
Return on investment (ROI) measures the profitability of an investment relative to what you put into it, expressed as a percentage so it's easy to compare across very different investments.
Formula: ROI = [(Final Value − Initial Investment) ÷ Initial Investment] × 100
ROI doesn't account for how long the investment took to generate that return, pair it with a time-based metric like CAGR or IRR when comparing investments held for different periods.
