About the Sum of Series Calculator
The sum of a series adds up its first n terms. Arithmetic series grow the sum by a constant addition each term, while geometric series grow it by a constant multiplication.
Formula: Arithmetic sum = (n/2)(2a₁ + (n−1)d) · Geometric sum = a₁(rn − 1)/(r − 1), for r ≠ 1
