About the Unit Circle Calculator

The unit circle is a circle of radius 1 centered at the origin. For any angle θ measured from the positive x-axis, the point where the angle's terminal side crosses the circle has coordinates (cos θ, sin θ).

Formula: x = cos(θ) · y = sin(θ), with θ converted to radians as degrees × π ÷ 180

The unit circle is the foundation for defining trigonometric functions for any angle, not just those inside a right triangle.
