About the Pokémon Go Candy Calculator

Evolving a Pokémon in Pokémon Go requires a set amount of species-specific candy. This calculator figures out the gap between what you have and what you need, plus roughly how many more catches or transfers will close it.

Formula: Candies Needed = Evolution Cost − Current Candy · Actions Needed = ceil(Candies Needed ÷ Candy Per Action)

Remember that Pinap Berries double catch candy and your buddy Pokémon can walk for extra candy, so your actual number of required catches may be lower if you mix in those bonuses.
