About the Class Width Calculator
Class width determines how wide each bar or bin should be when grouping continuous data into a histogram or frequency distribution table. It's found by dividing the total range of the data by the number of classes you want.
Formula: Class Width = (Maximum − Minimum) ÷ Number of Classes
The exact result is usually rounded up to a convenient whole number so that every data point fits cleanly inside a class, and no data is left uncovered at the top of the range.
