About the Correlation Coefficient Calculator (Pearson's r)

Pearson's correlation coefficient (r) measures how strongly two variables move together in a straight-line relationship. Values range from −1 (perfect negative relationship) through 0 (no linear relationship) to +1 (perfect positive relationship).

Formula: r = ∑((x − x̄)(y − ȳ)) ÷ √(∑(x − x̄)² × ∑(y − ȳ)²)
