Pie Chart Percentage Calculator
Convert a list of category values into the percentage share and slice angle, in degrees, that each one occupies in a pie chart.
About the Pie Chart Percentage Calculator
A pie chart divides a circle into slices whose sizes are proportional to the share each category contributes to the whole. This calculator takes a list of category values and works out exactly how large each slice's percentage and angle should be.
Formula: Percentage = (Category Value ÷ Total) × 100 · Slice Angle = (Category Value ÷ Total) × 360°
Every pie chart's slice angles always add up to a full 360° circle, just as its percentages always add up to 100%. Enter any list of category totals — sales by region, votes by candidate, budget by department — to get the exact percentage and angle for each slice, ready to plug into any charting tool or to draw by hand with a protractor. Because negative values can't be represented as a slice of a circle, only zero or positive numbers are accepted; if a category should be excluded from the chart entirely, simply leave it out of the list.
