About the Stem and Leaf Plot Data Calculator

A stem-and-leaf plot organizes numeric data so each value's leading digit(s) become the "stem" and its final digit becomes the "leaf," preserving every original data point while showing the overall shape of the distribution at a glance.

Formula: Stem = value divided by 10, rounded down · Leaf = the remaining ones digit · Leaves are listed in ascending order beside each stem

Unlike a histogram, a stem-and-leaf plot doesn't lose any individual data values — you can read the exact original numbers straight back off the plot while still seeing clusters, gaps and outliers.
