About the Helium Balloons Lift Calculator
Helium is lighter than air by roughly 1.07 grams per liter, which produces the lift force in a balloon. Subtracting the weight of the balloon's own rubber gives the usable net lift.
Formula: Balloon Volume (L) = (4/3) × π × Radius³ × 1000; Net Lift (g) = Volume (L) × 1.07 − Balloon Weight (g); Balloons Needed = Weight to Lift (g) ÷ Net Lift per Balloon
This is a simplified estimate that ignores string weight and altitude effects — great for party planning, not for lifting anything you actually need to come back down.
