About the Percent Off Calculator

Sometimes you know what you paid on sale and the advertised discount percentage, but want to find the original list price — this reverses the usual discount calculation to solve for it.

Formula: Original Price = Sale Price ÷ (1 − Percent Off ÷ 100)

This is handy for verifying that a "% off" tag matches the actual price difference, or for figuring out the pre-sale price of an item you only saw discounted.
