About the Pyramid Volume Calculator
Every pyramid — no matter the shape of its base — has a volume equal to one-third the base area times the perpendicular height to the apex. The base area and height each have their own unit selector (area for the base, length for the height), and the volume result has its own unit selector too — the calculator converts everything automatically.
Formula: Volume = (1/3) × base area × height
This single formula covers triangular, square, rectangular and even irregular-based pyramids, as long as the base area is known.
