About the Brick Calculator

This calculator estimates how many bricks you need to build a wall or veneer a facade. Standard modular bricks (about 3⅔in × 7⅔in on the face) with typical ⅛in mortar joints work out to roughly 7 bricks per square foot of wall.

Formula: Wall Area = Length × Height; Bricks Needed = Wall Area × Bricks per Sq Ft × (1 + Waste %)

Subtract door and window openings from the wall area for a more precise count, and always order 5-10% extra to cover cuts and breakage.
